Dr. Anthony Cutting

Welcome! I was born and raised most of my life in Phoenix, Arizona. I earned my Bachelor of Science in Human Physiology from the University of Oregon in 2009, and earned my doctorate from The University of Western States in Portland, OR in 2012, graduating summa cum laude.

After completing a rigorous clinical and subsequent externship, I had the opportunity to work alongside a couple of fantastic doctors, learning the ropes regarding the industry. In 2014 I opened my own practice and I’m excited to help my patients embrace health and wellness as a lifestyle.

Outside of practice, I enjoy exploring the Northwest through outdoor activities with family and friends. These include long-distance running, road and mountain biking, hiking, snowboarding and snowshoeing.

I have been married since 2008 to my beautiful wife, Brenna. We have two amazing sons, Ezekiel and Solomon. We attend a local non-denominational Christian church in Eugene where we enjoy fellowship with friends and serving in various capacities.

Brenna Cutting

Nutritional Health Coach, Office Manager

Hello! I am native to Eugene and love living and working in this community. I’m Dr. Anthony’s wife and mom to two wonderful boys, Ezekiel and Solomon.

I studied to be and worked as a dental assistant for many years, but found that I am more passionate about business and health.  I completed my studies this year through the Primal Health Coaching program and am now able to offer my services to our patients.  I love being able to help people make a transformation in their diet that positively impacts every area of their lives.  I’m excited to see patients not only reach their weight loss goals, but experience more energy, less pain and better digestion, among other things.

When I’m not at the office or raising the boys, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, doing CrossFit, being outdoors and coming up with healthy, delicious meals.

I have lived in Eugene my whole life and I am a proud University of Oregon graduate (Go Ducks!) with a Bachelor of Science. I joined the workforce at the age of 16 and have held a variety of office positions. I quickly discovered my passion for customer service and interacting with people. I pride myself in making sure that our customers are warmly welcomed and get what they need in a friendly and efficient manner.

In my free time I enjoy the outdoors, camping, hiking, traveling, playing with my dog Bentley, and most of all spending quality time with family and friends.

Thomas Ness

Chiropractic Assistant, Certified Personal Trainer

I am a brand new transplant to the beautiful city of Eugene Oregon, moving here in February from Gilbert, Arizona. Back in AZ, I had been coaching track and cross country for the past seven years. I was a collegiate runner myself and I still have a huge passion for helping others fall in love with the amazing sport of running.

My collegiate career was short lived after I tore my meniscus. As a result of this injury, I developed a passion for helping others get back to health after an injury, or even prevent it altogether. I plan to further my education so that I can expand my knowledge on wellness and training.
When I am not working, I like to run, hike, watch my Ducks play, work on projects/furniture, try new adventures and just explore this beautiful state. I also like to take visits back to AZ to spend time with family and watch my old teams compete.

Michelle Heitman

Licensed Massage Therapist

Originally from Illinois, I moved to Eugene a few years ago for a change of scenery and new adventures.  One of my aspirations was joining Lane Community College’s Massage Therapy Program.  Upon completion in 2014, I earned my Massage Therapy License.  I specialize in Swedish, Deep Tissue, Cupping, and Myofascial Release.

Having struggled with chronic pain in the past, I am empathetic for my clients.  Using various techniques and my intuitive touch, I strive to help my clients overcome their pain and achieve their wellness goals.

When I am not working, I enjoy seeing live music, camping, hiking, and getting lost in a good book.

Licensed Massage Therapist

As an Oregon native I am thrilled to call Eugene my new home! With a lifelong interest in health and wellness I chose to enter the field of therapeutic bodywork; completing the Western Focus Program at the Oregon School of Massage (Portland Campus), in 2011.   The core of my initial training included Swedish, Deep Tissue, Trigger Point Therapy and Myofascial Release.  Over the years I have furthered my skill set with advanced training in Pre/Perinatal/Postpartum massage and Cupping.

Upon getting licensed, I worked for an acupuncturist and then established my own practice in Lake Oswego, Oregon.  While my husband and I loved the Lake Oswego area, we chose to move the Eugene in 2016 and I enjoy being a member of the Active Chiropractic team!

Outside of the office, I enjoy experimental cooking, yoga and our beautiful outdoors. Long term, my husband Douglas and I look forward to establishing a small family farm in the Eugene area.
